Order Received for EV Charger Installation Work in Singapore

EXEO Group, Inc. (head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Tetsuya Funabashi, President) announces that Leng Aik Engineering Pte. Ltd. (Setsuya Kimura, President; hereinafter "LAE"), a group company headquartered in Singapore, has received an order for electric and civil engineering work associated with the installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in indoor and outdoor parking lots on the premises of public housing.
987 EV chargers to be installed at total of 314 sites
The Singaporean government is working to increase the penetration of EVs※1 by announcing in the Singapore Green Plan 2030 environmental action plan released in February 2021 a policy of phasing out internal combustion engine vehicles using gasoline and diesel fuels and shifting to environmentally friendly cars by 2040.
In Singapore, there is demand for the installation and expansion of charging stands in the parking lots of public housing complexes, where 80% of citizens live. The government plans to develop an "EV-Ready Town" by installing charging stands in the parking lots of all public housing complexes. It is working on increasing the penetration of EVs by promoting urban development that makes it easy to use EVs.※2※3
The government's goal is to install 60,000 EV chargers across the country by 2030. LAE will aggressively work on this project to support the environmental initiatives promoted by the government of Singapore and will actively enter the clean energy business, including solar power generation.
