As the economy is expected to see slower growth or even contraction due to the declining birthrate and aging population and the decreasing workforce, the Innovation Development Unit was established in July 2020. The office
engages in new businesses that provide new added value to society: information gathering and the development of growth strategies to create innovations, the promotion of demonstration and testing, the creation of frameworks
to continue innovation, and the development of human resources.
We are focusing on implementing ICT in education and digitalization in industry, which the entire country is striving to achieve, among other challenges
in society. In education, we are endeavoring to create an online learning system that enables learners to learn equally wherever they are and provide optimum learning to each pupil. In industry, we aim to automate operations
and develop IT infrastructures to increase industrial competitiveness and revitalize industries and communities.
Using digital technology to provide more open learning opportunities
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, more classes are being conducted online. Digital technology is changing the way we learn. The government has actively provided IT equipment to schools under the GIGA School Program. Digital technology
is creating environments where anyone can learn anytime and helps to address educational disparities. As optimal educational environments, including enhanced educational content and sophisticated teachers' work using IT,
are being developed, we are examining how EXEO Group can contribute to solving issues and considering innovative solutions.
We need to develop the technologies and expertise that we have and apply them to develop new
capabilities. We will always look at every social issue and continue to take on new challenges to solve issues.

Additional innovations to ICT in education
We have been engaging in ICT in education for about 30 years primarily in the Tokai region. Under the GIGA School Program, where the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology aims to achieve fair and individually
optimized learning that does not leave anyone behind, we have been engaging in developing ICT environments, including one terminal for each pupil and high-speed, large-capacity communication networks.
ICT environments in schools have changed drastically under the GIGA School Program. In this environment, we will promote the use of advanced technology and big data using an ICT environment, taking advantage of the
expertise in ICT in education that we have developed. We wish to continually engage in the ICT support business and contribute to promote the use of ICT in education for teachers and pupils to use ICT and learn using ICT
safely, securely, and freely.
Creating new value in learning environments
As fair and individually optimized learning that does not leave anyone behind is promoted in the age of Society 5.0, we aim to imagine and create value needed and wish to contribute to achieving a society where there is no
poverty or disparity.
For children to learn safely, securely, and freely in an ICT environment that has changed significantly, we will focus on the activities of ICT assistants in education that teachers can rely on
and will develop ICT assistants. We aim to create a business environment where ICT assistants, regardless of gender, can shine, are motivated, and can strike a balance between work and home life, including childcare, in
a diversifying society. We will accumulate expertise that ICT assistants have achieved and will create new value and contribute to creating a better educational environment.
